New five-seater C4 Picasso is go

05 January 2007

Good news if you like the seven-seat Citroen Picasso MPV but don’t need seven seats: Citroen's bringing out this more compact five-seat version.

That means that, like its Renault rival the Scenic, the C4 Picasso now comes in normal and 'Grand' versions.

The new five-seat Picasso borrows its big brother's massive windscreen, high driving position and individual rear seats, but has a truncated, more rounded rear. The rear window slopes diagonally, rather than the near-vertical rear glass of the seven-seater (which Citroen is now calling the Grand C4 Picasso).

The five-seat C4 Picasso goes on sale in late spring. Prices have yet to be decided, but expect them to be between those of the five-door C4 hatch and the seven-seat Grand Picasso.
