Hyundai's flashy Focus rival

07 September 2006

Forget the old Accent – Hyundai is now putting the emphasis on style, as this sketch of its forthcoming Arnejs concept car shows.

Due to be unveiled at the Paris motor show later this month, the Arenjs (pronounced "Ar-nez") previews Hyundai's new Focus rival, due to go on sale in summer 2007.

Hyundai says that the production car will be "very closely based on the Arnejs concept". That's good news – the concept is far sleeker than previous Hyundai hatches, and the Korean firm also promises a host of new technology in the car as it tries to make a bigger impression on the European market.
