As the dust settles on the British motor show it’s been a relatively quiet week for fresh metal on Autocar.co.uk, but what has arrived has been significant and diverse.
We were the first website to bring you details and UK pricing on Audi’s 261bhp, four-wheel drive S3. Then we followed that with official images and details on Citroen’s new C4 Picasso, which might be one of the UK’s biggest sellers.
Further up the power scale, the latest weapon from Brabus caught our eye. It has turned its attentions to the Mercedes SL to create the oddly-named S V12 S - top speed: 217mph.
The Brabus is the world’s fastest roadster, but only until Bugatti’s drop-top Veyron arrives – top speed: 220mph.
Talking of speed, we also brought you our video of JCB’s DieselMax in action and charted its progress as it hit 201mph before heading for Bonneville and the land speed record attempt.
On the road, we had drives of the Seat Leon FR and Subaru’s B9 Tribeca.
Next week should be equally varied - we will have official pictures of the next BMW X5 and videos including VW’s self-driving Golf.
