This is Vauxhall's hottest Corsa ever, the VXR version of the new model, undergoing testing at the famous Nordschleife in Germany.
The new machine uses a tweaked version of the 1.6-litre turbocharged engine fitted to the Meriva VXR. But instead of 180bhp it pumps out 195bhp, putting the latest hot Corsa squarely against the Renaultsport Clio. But there will be an even more potent car on the Corsa's floorpan shortly - Fiat's Punto Abarth will feature four-wheel drive and 230bhp.
Vauxhall has yet to release a date for the Corsa VXR's launch, but expect official images towards the end of the year and sales in January 2007.
