This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed driver line-up will include former IndyCar and F1 World Champion Nigel Mansell, the only man to have won those titles in consecutive years.

Mansell, appearing at the Festival for the first time, will drive on all three days – 7th, 8th and 9th July. He says he is ‘really looking forward to driving some of my old cars again’.

Mansell will drive a Lotus 91 (pictured), the last car designed by Colin Chapman to win a grand prix, and a Williams. Goodwood hopes to announce that he will drive one or two more of his old cars too.

It won’t just be one Mansell and his cars, but three: sons Greg and Leo will also be going up the hill in their Formula BMW single seaters. As their father was, they are sponsored by Unipart, sponsors of this year’s Festival of Speed, which takes as its theme ‘Racing for Glory – a Century of Grands Prix’.
