Vauxhall has announced that both three- and five-door versions of its new Corsa will debut at the British Motor Show on July 18th.

As with the Astra, the two body styles are expected to look substantially different. The three-door will have sporty coupé-like looks and the range is tipped to include 140bhp SRi and 180bhp VXR versions.

Other petrol options are likely to include a 60bhp 1.0, 80bhp 1.2, 90bhp 1.4 and 105bhp 1.6.

The Corsa is based on the same platform as Fiat’s new Punto and will also share Fiat’s JTD diesel units in 75bhp and 90bhp guises.

The car, the third generation of Corsa to be sold in the UK, will be on sale in the autumn.
