Hyundai shows Genus at Geneva

08 February 2006

This is Hyundai's Hed-2 Genus concept, to be shown at Geneva. Hyundai is defining it as a 'premium crossover model'. Styled at the Korean firm's design centre in Germany, the concept is inspired by natural forms created by waves and tides.

More to the point will be whether Hyundai thinks it can sell a vehicle of this kind in this class. The idea of combining coupe-like dynamism with estate car practicality is certainly in vogue.

Also at Geneva will be the first European appearance of the new Santa Fe, which will be on sale in the UK later this year.
