Despite a general decline in the market, Saab has enjoyed a 69 per cent increase in sales last month compared to August 2004, boosting its year-to-date growth to 42 per cent.
Saab has benefitted from the growing UK diesel market, and the resulting success of its 1.9 TiD-powered 9-3 Sports saloon. Saab expects the trend to continue with the new 9-3 SportWagon and the facelifted 9-5 range, to be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show.
