The first images of the Infiniti Emerg-e have been leaked online ahead of the sports car concept’s official unveiling at the Geneva motor show. The imposing, rear-drive, two-seat performance car features wide flanks, sculpted cooling ducts (including on the roof) and large turbine-effect alloy wheels with low-profile tyres.
The concept’s front-end gets the marque’s familiar chrome-rimmed grille design and the integrated bumper features a splitter. The headlight cluster includes LED daytime running lights.
The Emerg-e’s heavily sculpted bonnet design continues along the concept’s sides and at the rear, and the sleek light clusters have been pushed to the car’s flanks to accentuate the car’s width.
Most striking is the Emerg-e’s glass roof, which tapers over the engine bay to expose the motor. Inside, the concept gets sculpted leather seats, blue LED lighting and a unique centre console design.
The Emerg-e is the first mid-engined car from Infiniti. It follows the 600bhp hybrid Infiniti Essence concept seen at Geneva in 2009 and the front-drive Etherea hatchback concept that was shown at the Swiss show last year.
The manufacturer is also plotting an all-electric saloon that is expected to break cover at the New York motor show in early April.

Could be... But I'm sure it will be slower than the in-house GT-R, and three or four times as expensive.

It looks great and if it drives as well as it looks should do Infiniti no end of good.Lets wait for the first drive to see.
