Subaru parent company Fuji Heavy Industries has confirmed that a production version of the Subaru XV crossover concept will be shown at the Frankfurt motor show next month.
The Subaru XV “defines a whole new generation of Subaru crossover vehicle,” according to the firm and “remains true to the concept” shown at the Shanghai motor show in April this year.

The company is also confident that it will bring “something fresh, as well as a new level of engineering excellence, to the segment.”
It’ll “bring a new type of customer to the brand,” the firm added, thanks to Subaru’s all-wheel drive system and the “flexibility and lifestyle statement that owning a crossover brings”.
The car is expected to launch in the UK in early 2012.
