Know what you mean - but then the XF looks like the lights are too big and the grille too small.

But what would I know.

Agree Callum is to cars what Clapton is to the strat.

Re: Every Jaguar XJ driven

This is going to be one of those rare cars that gets more and more popular over time. I initially hated this car from the back. It looked like a Bentley crossed with a Sporty Aston (but not in a good way). But the more I've seen of this car the more I've come to realise that I know nothing about car design and that Ian Callum is a GOD. The rear is magnificent, it's a styling masterpiece that fuses perfectly with the rest of the car. Honestly after you've seen a few you will get it. The design works in the flesh. However I'm less convinced about the front of the car. The grill looks too big and the lights too small. But hell they can fix that on the facelift. The real appeal of this car over the competition is in it's engineering. It's very light and looks quick in and out of the corners. When Autocar do road test this car then I have a feeling it will destroy the competition for sporting appeal. And that's why this car will suceed. The BMW and Merc are designed for fat people to sit in the back and waft along. Th XJ is designed for people who want to drive.
