This is the first picture of Fernando Alonso driving a Ferrari F1 car.
The Spaniard was photographed at the PAul Ricard circuit in France at the wheel of a 2009 Ferrari, the F60, during a promotional shoot for new team sponsor Santander.

It is believed the livery was being tested for how it appeared in photos and on film, and that it is now likely to be raced this season.

Re: Alonso's first Ferrari test
So in effect there is nothing to really gain by doing it for testing purposes, as they can familiarise themselves with the controls in the simulators. Even Luca Badoer could have done it (although probably slower).
It's just a good excuse to get Alonso into the car and working with the Ferrari engineers before the real testing starts, and generates publicity before the new car launches. Ferrari have to do something to counter Michael Schumacher's breakfast regimen.

Thought there was a testing ban?
Allowed to test a 2009 car with virtually same engine as 2010......
