Italian Edoardo Mortara wrote his name in the record books by winning last weekend's Macau Grand Prix, an event used by talent spotters to identify future F1 aces.
Held on the stunning Macau Guia street circuit, the event is attended by all the best up-and-coming racers, and has been won in the past by stars including Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, David Coulthard, Ralf Schumacher and Takuma Sato.

Mortara has started in third place in the feature race, but made a good start to out-drag rivals Marcus Ericsson and Jean-Karl Vernay (who had won the earlier qualification race) on the run down to the first significant corner, Lisboa.
However, the race was then stopped following a shunt further down the field, and Vernay retook the lead at the re-start. Only when Vernay made a mistake on lap 11 did Mortara maek his decisive move.
It was a good day for Briton Sam Bird, too, as he finished third after starting seventh on the grid.
In the World Touring Car Championship races at the same venue Seat's Gabriele Tarquini - the 1994 British Touring Car Champion - clinched the title with second and fifth places. The races were won by Rob Huff (Chevrolet) and Augusto Farfus (BMW).
