Renault's diminutive new Twingo will start at a relatively diminutive £8375 when it finally arrives in the UK in Spetember.That means the base Twingo will cost more than the poshest Smart ForTwo, and more than any of the Citroen C1/Peugeot 107/Toyota Aygo triplets.However, the base 1.2-litre 74bhp Twingo Dynamique undercuts the Citroen C2 1.4 (also with 74bhp) by £740 and the Fiat Panda 1.4 by £520.Only two varieties of Twingo will be available in the UK, the 1.2 Dynamique and the GT 100, which will cost £9995 – bang on the power and price of the Fiat Panda 100HP.The Dynamique gets 15-inch alloys, foglights and a CD radio; the GT adds air-con, sports suspension and dark-tinted rear windows.Renault's trumpeting the Twingo's frugality and fun.
