Recovering F1 driver takes a look at the road car's division's latest offering

Ferrari Formula One driver Felipe Massa visited the 458 Italia production line following his return to the cockpit at Maranello earlier this week.

The Brazilian, who was at Ferrari's HQ to use its simulator ahead of testing a 2007 spec F1 car, is expected to take delivery of a 458 Italia as a company car.

It remains uncertain when Massa will make his return to F1.

Ferrari has played down expectations that he could compete in the season-closing race at Abu Dhabi, with team manager Stefano Domenicali saying the Brazilian will focus on a return for the start of the 2010 season.

However, speculation persists that Massa may race this year. Medical checks have shown he is fully recovered from his accident in the Hungarian Grand Prix, when he was struck in the head by a spring from another car, and his test laps in the F2007 passed without problem.

Couldn't afford the optional Ferrari shields then?

Good luck Felipe. And what a thoughtful welcome back gift. Other employers should take note.
