Suabru confirms full details and pricing for its new load lugger

Full price and spec details of the new Subaru Legacy Tourer have been confirmed by the Japanese firm.

The new Legacy will only be available in the UK as an estate, as the saloon model will not be made available here. Subaru claims it features “increased space and comfort for all occupants, improved dynamics and refinement, and enhanced safety” and all models will be sold with four-wheel drive.

Two horizontally opposed engine will be available; a 2.0-litre diesel and a 2.5-litre petrol. The diesel can get from 0-62mph in 9.6secs and go on to reach a top speed of 120mph. It has combined fuel economy of 46.3mpg, while its CO2 emissions are 161g/km.

The 165bhp, 169lb ft petrol model reaches 0-62mph in 10.3secs and has a top speed 120mph. This unit also benefits from Subaru’s new Lineartronic automatic transmission.

Inisde, headroom has risen by 21mm over the previous model, and legroom for rear-seat passengers increases by 99mm, aided by an 80mm increase in wheelbase.

Boot space is up 67 litres over the old model to 526 litres and it can hold 1677 litres with its 60/40 split seats folded flat.

Standard kit includes alloy wheels, tilt-and-slide sunroof, heated front seats, six CD tuner with RDS and six speakers, dual-zone automatic air-conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, and automatic activation for wipers and headlights.

Prices start from £23,295 for the diesel and £25,295 for the petrol. The new model is on sale now.
