Japanese firm tweaks the new 458 Italia

A Japanese tuning company has begun working on a body kit for the forthcoming Ferrari 458, which is not due to go on sale until next Spring.

Tuner ASI has ditched the Pininfarina-penned front bumper, with its novel intakes that deform at speed to reduce drag, and introduced an Enzo-style face instead.

Two gaping intakes now sit either side of where the number plate will be placed, with a grey lower section.

At the rear is a prominent boot spoiler, also finished in grey, and the 458’s alloys have been painted black.A second body kit on offer features two intakes in the side of the front bumper.

In the past ASI has created Ferrari body kits that reduce weight significantly and the 458 styling pack is likely to do the same. The company also offers mild performance upgrades, including uprated exhaust systems.
