£13,750 model launched for the German market

Smart has launched a new special edition Fortwo exclusively for the German market.

The Smart Fortwo Edition Highstyle gets a range of upgrades over the standard Smart and is available with a choice of two petrol engines; a 70bhp unit, which features start-stop technology, and an 83bhp unit.

The Edition Highstyle is only available with a chocolate brown paintjob, and it also comes with 12 spoke 15-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, it gets leather seats, a leather steering wheel and gear knob, and metallic and chocolate brown trim.

Standard equipment includes electric windows, air conditioning and a panoramic sunroof with a blind, as well as electric power steering and heated seats.

Prices start at 15,695 euro (£13,750) for the 70bhp unit, rising to 16,195 euro (£14,200) for the 83bhp car.
