But Honda's BMW X6 rival will not be coming to the UK

Honda brand Acura has confirmed that its ZDX coupe/SUV crossover will go on sale in the US later this year.

The BMW X6 rival was first seen as a concept model at the New York motor show in April. In production form, the ZDX is powered by a 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox featuring paddle shifts.

Its V6 engine produces 296bhp and 270lb ft of torque and it powers all four wheels.

Styling features include 19-inch alloy wheels, a hand-stitched leather interior and a panoramic glass roof. Other tech includes full iPod and Bluetooth connectivity and a “high-powered” CD sound system.

US pricing for the ZDX will be confirmed closer to its on-sale date. A Honda spokesman told Autocar the ZDX would not be coming to the UK and this is not expected to change in the near future.
