McLaren driver sets the pace at an overcast Nurburgring

Lewis Hamilton was the fastest driver for McLaren in Friday’s second practice session for the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring.

Hamilton beat Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel by 0.182 seconds, with championship leader Jenson Button third in his Brawn GP.

In a repeat of first practice, the early running was interrupted by a brief shower, which meant a quiet half hour before dry weather tyres could be used.

Red Bull’s Mark Webber had gone fastest in the morning’s first session, ahead of Jenson Button and Ferrari’s Felipe Massa.
