Every panel, as well as the canvas roof, are said to be new and the German car maker is said to be making the car considerably lighter than the current model.

This means it could be the most economical Porsche for some time and there is even talk of four-cylinder engines and forced induction being added to the line-up. The turbocharged engine is likely to offer just over 200bhp.
According to reports the new Boxster is scheduled to be unveiled at the 2011 Geneva motor show.
