Extra kit for CL to celebrate centenary

Mercedes has wheeled out a special edition CL coupe to celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the three-pointed star and Benz emblem.

It was on June 24, 1909 that Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft officially registered the design of the Mercedes star, and on 6 August the letters “Benz” were registered. The two joined forces in 1926.

To mark the centenary, Mercedes-Benz has given the CL 500 more luxury in the form of better leather and black piano lacquer trim, as well as the emblems of the original trademarks inset into the centre console.

Outside, the CL gets an AMG sports package. The anniversary edition is also fitted with 20-inch five-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels painted in titanium grey.
