Verdict
The Liana should only be bought by those wanting a car which asks nothing of its driver and gives almost as little in return. If you’ve ever felt a desire to drive even slightly enthusiastically it is to be avoided and if your backside is in the least bit sensitive to ride quality we’d similarly advise you to stay away. But if all you want is an anonymous small family car that’ll cost little to run and never go wrong, then the Liana at least fulfils this brief. But so too do many other cars, others that also offer more than relentless mediocrity on the open road. In the light of this, it’s hard to see how anyone fully abreast of the facts would choose a Liana ahead of all its potential rivals.
