Verdict
The most potent Leon yet, and far and away the most accomplished. Yet somehow the Cupra doesn’t quite maximise its potential. Despite the sensational engine and trick lightweight suspension, it’s let down by some of the details. The Cupra is certainly a credible contender, but in such a highly competitive market, it’s not quite up there with the very best.
