Verdict
It would be more accurate to call this car the anti-Clio. Where the old model was fun, cramped and noisy, this one is strait-laced, spacious and quiet.
As enthusiasts, we cannot help but lament that so much of the Clio’s charm has been spent creating such a relentlessly sensible car. We shall have to wait for the RenaultSport version to see if the spark is still there.
