Perhaps belatedly, Porsche’s engineers have purged the 911 of its flaws, leaving you with the sharpest and friendliest 911 yet. The combination is incomparable, a thrilling car of such invigorating and honest character that it’s hard to think of one more exciting, let alone one with the 911’s pragmatic functionalism. 30 years on, the appeal of the Porsche’s rear-engined monument is greater than ever and the new model recaptures exactly what 911 driving is all about in its purest form.
