Verdict
We can see why the Plus 8 has such a devoted following. The engine and transmission are superb and provide magnificent performance all the way to 100mph. And you can live with that ride. But it seems a waste not to match the power unit with chassis and suspension that allows it to realise its potential. Sports car driving should not be unnecessarily difficult and the Plus 8, although still tremendous fun, is needlessly hard work.
