Verdict

 8 stars out of 10

The Land Rover Station Wagon is an outstanding car which can be driven almost anywhere. In addition to its suitability for cross-country work it will put up commendable average speeds on normal roads and provide satisfactory transport for up to seven people. The vehicle is ideally suited to towing a caravan or horse box, it is robust and functional, completely free of unnecessary frills and has the type of finish in keeping with the purpose for which it was designed. It is a first-rate machine of which the engineers of the Rover Company may be proud.
