Verdict

 8 stars out of 10

It’s not often that, four years after recommending a new car, we still reckon it can hold its head high among the best in the class, but this is certainly true with the Jazz. Thanks to its enduring design qualities, good looks and robust construction, we have no hesitation at all in suggesting that it should be on the shopping list of everyone looking for a small, versatile and effective hatchback.

True, it’s not a bundle of laughs to drive, but very few are at this end of the market these days. But it is satisfying to own and extremely easy to live with everyday. For this kind of money, that’s about as much as anyone can ask.
