Road Test

Honda FR-V (04-) 2.2 i-CTDi SE 5dr MPV

Test Date 06 September 2005  Price When New £17,730

Verdict

 8 stars out of 10

Anyone uneasy about putting children in a third row of seats needs to look long and hard at the FR-V. Despite some niggling faults, the fundamental design is well conceived and executed. Keenly priced, frugal and even decent to drive, the FR-V is ideal for those for whom neither a seventh seat nor supreme load capacity is essential. But if it’s five seats and a smart interior you’re after, a Ford Focus C-Max does the job even better.
