Verdict
It's not the most handsome SUV, but as a practical family hold-all, the CR-V excels. It has a roomy and versatile cabin, it's easy to drive, it performs adequately and it isn't too thirsty. But its trump card is that it's actually a decent drive - an unexpected bonus if you're an enthusiast with practical needs.
