Verdict
The 3-series Touring has finally become a practical estate car. There are bigger wagons on offer for the money, but in the prestige sector the 3-series is now second to none, and thoughtful touches make the spacious load bay even more useable.
The transition from saloon to estate does little to harm the Three’s excellent handling and refinement, while the Touring body is arguably a more elegant design. If only the low-speed ride was a little more cosseting.
