Verdict
It’s good news. Alfa Romeo has successfully married the solid feel of a German sports saloon with the spirit and style of a true Alfa.
The 159 might not set new standards in any particular area, but it has real ‘want-one’ appeal, backed up by proper ability. Alfa Romeo is back, but these hard-won gains will mean nothing if the dealer network doesn’t improve.
