At £26,905 the 325i SE Touring sits squarely between the more expensive, more powerful Mercedes C280 estate and cheaper, less powerful Audi A4 2.0T Avant. Similarly the equipment count, although not miserly, isn’t exactly generous: cruise control and rear parking sensors are the most eye-catching standard toys.
The Touring is £1600 dearer than the equivalent saloon – a sizeable chunk of extra cash, but a price we expect a lot of people will pay, because the Touring offers greater practicality and sleeker looks without compromising any of the saloon’s talents.
