TVR Sagaris review
TVR Sagaris 4.0 Road Test
Test date 24 May 2005
Price as tested £58,750
For One of the cheapest ways to 185mph; the best made TVR yet
Against Subtle it ain't, standard kit levels low, expensive to run
TVR unveiled a prototype Sagaris in December 2003, but it’s taken a year and a half and a change of chairman before the car has made it to production. In the intervening period, new boss Nikolai Smolenski has famously introduced durability testing and reliability schemes. He also revised the steering and suspension and changed the build procedures. Fundamentally, however, the car looks the same as the prototype and has the same engine created under ex-boss Peter Wheeler’s guidance.
