Long ago, before VW got involved, Seat’s reputation was based on building budget-priced runarounds. Everyone knew what a Seat was. Now that it makes everything from vast MPVs to scorching hot hatches, nobody really knows any more what Seat stands for, which is perhaps why the brand is having a less than brilliant time in the marketplace. But if the evidence of this, the cheapest Seat money can buy, is to be relied upon, Seat’s still at its most successful when doing what it knows best. The Ibiza 1.2 Reference comes to us priced at just £7550.
