Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 6.2 V8 4dr review

Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 6.2 V8

Test date 30 March 1967  Price as tested £6,669

For so long accepted as the best car in the world, and probably still so, the Rolls-Royce is inevitably judged by the highest standards. This means that even a minor criticism, acceptable in a lesser car, is like-ly to be regarded as very serious. Today such standards are no longer entirely realistic. The mechanical parts of inexpensive cars have become so much better that expensive cars can simply add top quality materials, luxurious equipment and attention to detail. There is no reason to expect design miracles of a Rolls-Royce, though every reason to look for top quality in the broadest sense.
