Nissan Murano review
Nissan Murano 3.5 Road Test
Test date 12 April 2005
Price as tested £30,190
For Looks, equipment, grunty engine, interior space, price
Against Crude ride and handling, economy, cheap cabin trim
The Murano has been on sale in the United States since 2003 and joins the X-Trail in Nissan’s attack on the European 4x4 market. It enters a class that has grown rapidly in recent years, sitting slightly below full-size off-roaders such as the BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg.
Nissan has also gained a reputation of producing rugged, reliable large 4x4s with the Patrol series dating back from 1982, and the later Terrano was highly capable in the mud, too.
