Lancia Delta Integrale review

Lancia Integrale 2.0

Test date 10 February 1988  Price as tested £15,862

For Amazing practicality, grip and performance

Against Small range, noisy at speed

Lancia produced its first four-wheel-drive road car earlier than you might think. A prototype Delta Turbo with four-wheel-drive was shown at the ’82 Turin show, but it wasn’t until the awesome Group B rally cars were banned in 1986 that the company was persuaded to put it into production.

The Delta HF 4WD formed the basis for the Group A Delta rally cars, but the car proved so popular that Lancia built many more than the 5000 that were needed for homologation.
