Remember the Testarossa? Ferrari’s Titan was designed to silence those who said that Lamborghini made the fastest road car and reinforce Maranello’s reputation as the monarch of the supercar world.

But that was eight years ago, before the Diablo, the new Porsche 911Turbo, and the Lotus Carlton – a four-door Vauxhall saloon that blew the redhead clean away all the way from 60mph to 140mph. Something needed to be done, and the £129,954 Ferrari 512TR is it.
