Caterham CSR 260 review

Caterham Seven 2.3 Cosworth 260bhp

Test date 18 October 2005  Price as tested TBA

For Blistering performance, track day potential, handling, eccentricity

Against Practicality, steering heavy at low speeds, relatively high price

At a glance, this may appear to be a mildly re-styled Caterham Seven, but what you’re actually looking at is the most radical single update since Caterham became custodian of the Lotus Seven in 1973. The CSR 260 features a new engine, revised chassis, new interior and new suspension (now fully independent at the rear for the first time). It’s a very powerful, very fast but very expensive little car.
