This is an exciting new approach to the small family car. With the 847cc 4-cylinder engine set across the nose, and beneath it the entire transmission for driving the front wheels, nearly 80 per cent of the car’s overall length of 10ft is made available for passenger and luggage accommodation.
The Mini Minor has its wheels at the extremities, and, an all-independent suspension system employing rubber as the springing medium. Having a dry weight of only 11 1/4cwt and a maximum power output almost as high as that of the 948cc Morris Minor 1000 engine, the Mini Minor’s performance is more lively than that of the larger model.
