Road Test

Aston Martin DB4

Test date 13 October 1961  Price as tested £4,084

The DB4 is one of the most powerful cars on the road: its 3670cc twin-cam straight-six engine produces 240bhp (net) at 5500rpm and an equally impressive 240lb ft of torque at 4250rpm. The gearing in second and third has been lowered by 12 per cent for punchier acceleration.
