Alfa 156

I have an itch to buy an Alfa 156, and i think you are a fan of these. Anything that I should look out for, and what is the best engine or spec etc to have? Haven't much money to spend, (having my own personal credit crunch) but how much do you think i should look at as a minimum for a tidy one?

Ours was almost mint and we only got £2000 for it. Around £1500 should now get you a very nice one. Either the 2.0 or 1.8-litre engines are good. Ours was a 1.8 and it hasn't that much less grunt than the bigger one. Cambelts are the big thing. Unless you have absolute proof that it was done recently change it immediately. Otherwise they're pretty reliable. I'm sure you will love it.
